OUR PRIORITIES
OUR PRIORITIES
IMPROVE REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
Establish an AI Consumer Protection Board: Modeled on successful oversight bodies, this board would ensure AI audits maintain integrity and that vehicle and robot AI systems remain transparent and accountable.
Develop a Consumer-Centric AI Suppliers Group: This stakeholder group would coordinate safety standards and export controls for AI in EVs, AVs, and robotics, prioritizing consumer protection.
Update Consumer Protection Regulations: Address AI risks in existing consumer protection laws to prevent bias, privacy violations, and deceptive practices.

Increase Funding for AI Consumer Education: Support initiatives to empower consumers to make decisions about AI risks and benefits in EVs, AVs, and robotics.
Democratize Access to AI Information: Provide access to AI data and research, so consumers understand how AI impacts their lives and make informed choices.

ADDRESS CURRENT HARMS
Algorithmic Bias: Require AI model “disclosures” to promote transparency, clarify use cases, and prevent bias in EV/AV navigation and safety decisions.
Data Privacy: Safeguard privacy by prohibiting the distribution of non-consensual AI-generated intimate images and strengthening individual control over personal data collected by vehicles and robots.
Deceptive AI Practices: Prevent nonconsensual deepfakes and ensure that automated systems in vehicles and robots disclose when they impersonate humans.
PRESERVE SAFETY & SECURITY
AI Security Standards: Apply robust security standards to AI systems in vehicles and robots to prevent misuse by malicious actors.
Incident Reporting Database: Create a database to track unexpected AI behavior in vehicles and robots, facilitating swift responses to emerging risks.
Pre-Clearance for Advanced AI Models: Require pre-clearance for high-risk AI model training runs in vehicles and robots to ensure conformity with safety standards.
